Types Of Massage We Offer
Swedish / Relaxation
We invite you to enjoy our full body spa favorite. This treatment will promote total relaxation, relieve tension, and leave you feeling completely pampered.
Deep Tissue / Therapeutic
Deep Tissue massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue, or fascia. This type of massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface of your top muscles. Deep Tissue massage is usually effective in working with chronic pain caused by muscle adhesions and scar tissue as well as being used for the treatment and prevention of sports injuries. Deep Tissue massage and bodywork is a stretching treatment which releases stiffness and soreness. When muscles are stressed, they block oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up toxins in the muscle tissue.
Pregnancy Massage
Our Mother-to-be massage is designed to alleviate leg, hip, and lower back pressure caused by the body’s normal adjustments to pregnancy. Whether this is before baby is born or after baby is born, this massage can reduce fatigue by aiding the circulatory and lymphatic systems. Moreover, by relieving tension in the back and neck, soothing the aches and pains in the legs and feet, the Mother-to-be can find a little comfort and relaxation during this special time.
Hot Stone Massage
Heated smooth, flat stones are placed on key points on the body, while additional stones are used to massage certain areas of the body. The direct heat relaxes muscles, allowing manipulation of a greater intensity than with regular massage. The result is decadent, ultimate relaxation—a perfect cold-weather treat!
Cupping Massage
Cupping therapy involves the suction and negative pressure of special cups to loosen muscles and increase blood flow. Although recently made popular by Olympic athletes, cupping is one of the oldest alternative therapies around. Cupping has numerous benefits alongside tension relief including detoxification, clearing congestion, controlling respiratory conditions, and reducing inflammation.
Spot Specific Massage
Sore neck, shoulder or lower back? This massage will allow our therapist to focus on that troublesome spot. (30 min only)
